share your world 8th may

Di, the host of the Pensitivity101 blog, presents the Share Your World prompt every week. Here are the questions for this week, along with my answers.

  1.  Do you feel comfortable walking in your neighbourhood at night?

Walking in my neighborhood can be a challenge, especially at night, due to various obstacles. As a woman, I sometimes feel unsafe walking alone because there could be better security measures in my area. Additionally, there are several stray dogs on the streets that can make me feel a bit anxious. Due to my preference for well-lit environments, I try to avoid traveling at night, but I know that there are steps I can take to make myself feel more secure. For example, I can walk with a friend or carry pepper spray. I am hopeful that with time, my neighborhood will become safer and more welcoming for everyone.

 2. When you shop for day to day things, do you pay by cash or card?

Since the pandemic, I’ve shifted to online shopping and payments for everyday necessities. It’s safer, more convenient, and offers a wider range of products. It’s become an essential part of my routine, and I don’t plan on going back to traditional shopping anytime soon.

3.  When was the last time you dressed up for a special occasion?

I recently dressed up for Eid and went to my mom’s place for a small get-together. I dressed up for the occasion and enjoyed spending time with my family.

4.   Have you ever lied about your age?

no never
