1.  Have you ever lied about your age?

I’ve had to tweak my age a bit for exams before. There was this time when I needed to be older by a few months to qualify, so I changed my birthdate from November to August with the school principal’s help. And my husband? He sometimes jokes around with our friends, saying I’m just 4 years younger than him, but the truth is I’m actually 7 years younger. It’s all in good fun, making these adjustments to keep things smooth.

2.  Is there any time in your life you would like to relive?

If I could turn back time, I’d love to relive my marriage and my 12th grade. Back then, I was so caught up in thinking about the future that I often overlooked the happiness that surrounded me. Those moments were precious, and I’d cherish the opportunity to experience them again with a deeper appreciation for the joy they brought.

3.  Do you own any antiques?

Yes, I do own several antiques. One of them is an old signal phone that belonged to my father-in-law. Although I’m not entirely sure about its use, it’s a cherished piece in my collection. Additionally, I have an antique Quran that holds a special significance. It was passed down from my great-grandmother to my grandmother with the intention that it be passed on to all our future ancestors. The Quran carries a sense of positivity and heritage that I deeply value.

4. Would you like to know some of the history of places you’ve visited?

I’ve visited a few historical places where guides shared detailed histories during the tours. While I’m not particularly passionate about history, I’m open to learning when it’s presented, but I’m also content if some historical details remain a secret to me.

What do you see -Guiding Light

In a world of discipline, he stood tall,
An inspector’s voice commanding all.
With ironed shirts and a kurta white,
He walked with purpose day and night.

A lantern light in hand, his wife by his side,
Their love a bond that none could divide.
A strict appearance, yet inside soft,
His kindness flowed gentle and oft.

A lecturer’s wisdom, a teacher’s grace,
His words left an indelible trace.
Amidst the echoes of tabla’s beat,
His love for old songs was ever sweet.

A strict demeanor, yet love real ran deep,
In his empire, his legacy to keep.
Eleven children, a family grand,
His presence felt across the land.

In white and off-white, he found his hue,
A symbol of purity, steadfast and true.
Through strict and stern, his love shone bright,
Guiding us through the darkest night.

Now he is gone, yet memories stay,
In every word and every sway.
A titan of strength forever in our hearts,
We’ll cherish his legacy as life imparts.

And as lantern lights adorn the sky,
We remember him with a heartfelt sigh.

Daily prompt -“Autonomy”

Daily writing prompt
What does freedom mean to you?

To me, freedom means more than just being able to move around without restrictions. It’s about being true to myself, chasing after what I love, and making choices that really matter to me. It’s not just about what’s outside, but also about feeling calm and strong inside.

For someone taking care of a home and family, freedom is finding little moments to be themselves. It could be writing, painting, or doing anything that lets them be who they are, even with all the daily tasks they have to handle.

Freedom, to me, is also about fairness and kindness. It’s standing up for what’s right and making sure everyone is treated well. Real freedom isn’t just about me; it’s about all of us working together to make the world a better place for everyone.
